Manifestation.

It seems that’s the in-word nowadays. People want to manifest peace. Others want to manifest money. Some want to manifest good grades. We all have something we desire, and manifesting seems the way to go.

While it’s become an “in thing”, manifestation is nothing new. If you pray, that’s manifesting. If you put something out in the universe, that’s manifesting. Manifesting comes in different forms and many people often use it as they meditate.

But what stops someone from manifesting their best life? Well, not being serious about the goals is one. Also, self-sabotage is another. Unresolved past traumas, and negative feelings can contribute to it. Fears of failure, helplessness, and unhealthy patterns also play a major role.

So, what can one do to manifest happiness and be your best authentic self? Follow me for some tips!

The F*cking Negative Self-Talk

Like, seriously. Saying you can’t do something because X reason is the sole reason why you won’t do it. You have to confront the hidden emotions within you as to why you’re not doing something. Is it really fear? is it because you’ve been rejected before? What is it? Once you tackle that, the next step will be easier…

Avoiding Icky Emotions

Yep. The emotions that make you shabby. The ones that make you uncomfortable. The ones that make you not want to have those conversations with yourself and with others. Maybe you need to wonder what’s keeping you back from being truly happy. Is it childhood trauma? Is it an unhealthy relationship with food, alcohol, etc? What is it that’s stopping you from being your greatest self.

Comparing Yourself to Others

Seriously. You have no idea what someone has to go through to do what they do. You also don’t know what battles they face on a regular basis. Social media is smoke and mirrors for a lot of people and who knows? The person you think has got it all together might be just barely holding on. Focus on yourself and not on what others do.

Holding Grudges

You’re probably holding a grudge against someone who is long past what you’re mad at them for. While the other person has moved on, you’re still holding onto that anger. Why? Because despite people saying they don’t like getting angry, they do. Anger gives someone a sense of power and ownership. If you hold anger against someone, you’re holding power over them. Stop it. While this person is living their best life, you’re still mad at home. Who’s really winning here?

Procrastinating.

“I’ll do it tomorrow!”

“I’ll get it done when I have some time!”

“It’s not a priority now.”

And guess what? You’ll forever be stuck in that rut because you didn’t prioritize your happiness.

Set realistic goals and make them happen. Make small, achievable goals then move onto the bigger things once the small things are done. Make sure you’re not distracted and you’re in a safe and healthy environment.

Overthinking/Perfectionism

Like, really? You’re going to get everything done and in the manner it needs to be done. Don’t worry about it being perfect. Last year, I worried myself sick about my son’s birthday party. Was it perfect? No. But was it perfect for him? Absolutely! Everything came together the way it needed to at the time it needed to be done. Turns out I was worried about nothing.

My advice is the same to you – if you have trouble making decisions, talk it over with a friend or journal it down. And then get back into it!

Realizing Not Everyone Can Come With You

Once you progress in life, your circle is going to inevitably change. It also means your priorities will also change. Sure, you used to go clubbing in your 20’s; maybe not so much, if you’re 30+. If you’re trying to save money for a major purchase or a vacation, maybe a shopping spree isn’t what’s on the menu.

Working towards your goals means refocusing on yourself. It also means you might need to prioritize what’s really important in your life. And sadly, some people may not be around for that.

Don’t Ignore Your Needs

Seriously, shower. Eat. Call your mother. Hang out with friends. Don’t become a hermit and stay inside or so focused on your goal, you didn’t realize your son was graduating from high school. Go for a walk. Eat. Take a nap. Don’t be like those idiots who say they’ll sleep when they’re dead; not even Jeff Bezos does that.

Conclusion:

You’re going to kick ass and be all sorts of amazing and awesome. Don’t worry about anything! Meditate. Drink water. Call your mother. And do the damn thing!
